Big Gap (with a temple in the middle)!
Yes…it’s been a while and I can’t really blame the obvious. The 2021 lack of posting has been for reasons more personal than global - theatre/writing work, travel and general lethargy all being contributing factors. Time to rectify that. I’ve got a few commissions coming up - animal, mineral but not vegetable - so will be posting those soon. The Kyoto temple painting was fun in that I used only Japanese brushes (2). They really do have a lot of advantages once you get used to the size (big!); greater ‘load-bearing’, versatility via fine detailing and wide strokes without changing brushes. I’ll be using them again, for sure. Meanwhile…
